Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Excellent object-oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data-driven decisions.
- Expert knowledge in one or more programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience with databases both relational and NoSQL such as MongoDB and Sybase ASE.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build-out, and maintenance of scalable and resilient platforms used for Portfolio Management and Construction.
- Interact with other engineering teams to understand and leverage technology offerings.
- Oversee regional engineering operations in Dallas.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, and Technologists to develop platforms that drive the QIS business.
- Participate in all phases of project life cycles.
