The AI Solutions Engineer – Vice President role at Goldman Sachs focuses on leading the design and operationalization of production AI systems within the Wealth Management Data Engineering team. The position requires a blend of technical leadership and hands-on experience with large language models and data engineering principles. The ideal candidate will mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years building production AI/ML systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and SQL.
- Strong hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agentic frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience designing agentic architectures.
- Working knowledge of cloud data platforms and ETL/ELT workflows.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver AI-powered data engineering solutions integrated with the WM Lakehouse platform.
- Define and maintain AI evaluation standards to monitor system performance.
- Own the AI delivery lifecycle including CI/CD for model artifacts and prompt configurations.
- Enforce responsible AI practices in LLM pipelines that handle sensitive financial data.
- Partner with data architects to ensure AI systems comply with data governance and regulatory standards.
