Rivian is seeking a member for its Electrical Hardware mechanical team to help develop innovative electric vehicles. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional partners to design and integrate electrical hardware components from concept to production. Requirements
- 3 years of experience in Automotive or equivalent or a Master's Degree.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or relevant equivalent experience.
- CAD experience, ideally with Catia V6.
- Great problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
- Ability to self-direct while managing ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Collaboratively design and develop electrical hardware components from concept to launch.
- Interface with cross-functional partners and lead mechanical design and integration.
- Conduct validation builds, tests, and analysis of future components.
- Document test processes and results.
- Complete root cause analysis of failures and issues found in assembly and testing.
- Perform tolerance analysis for new component and fixture designs.
- Conduct benchmarking studies on new products and components.
- Lead supplier discussions on all mechanical design and development tasks.
