Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry with a software or calibration background.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or a related Engineering field.
- Demonstrated reliability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep curiosity to understand the product and how the regulations may be applied.
- Experience with formal requirement management tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the Rivian organization as well as with external suppliers and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the end-to-end view of homologation requirements with large software dependencies.
- Track software-dependent functions and feature requirements through maturity gates.
- Define and drive the software homologation roadmap across vehicle programs.
- Partner with Homologation, Cybersecurity, and Software teams to implement regulatory controls.
- Plan, execute, and oversee regression testing using HIL and SIL environments post-certification.
- Plan and conduct vehicle-level tests and analyze results to confirm compliance with global regulatory requirements.
- Audit, maintain, and continuously improve test strategies and coverage for software-relevant regulatory requirements.
- Manage documentation of test assets, software and calibration build levels.
- Lead cross-functional reviews of software change requests to assess homologation impact.
- Monitor the status of global regulations and research new market entry testing requirements.
- Work with Vehicle Engineering and Integration teams to ensure correlation of test results to expected behavior.
- Develop and own best practices, templates, and processes for software homologation solutions.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for software-related homologation questions.
