In this role, you will be responsible for critical components of Rivian's Perception System, collaborating with leaders in the Perception team and the broader Autonomy organization. The focus is on delivering improved autonomy and active safety features for customers. You will manage multiple sub-teams within Perception, overseeing various responsibilities such as data-driven improvements and system performance evaluation. This position requires strong leadership and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive professional experience in Machine Learning for Perception and Robotics.
• A track record of delivering results in high-complexity systems and managing high-performing ML teams.
• Extensive professional experience in Software Development and managing high-performing software teams.
• Strong problem solving and coordination skills.

• Collaborate with other leads in Perception and the broader Autonomy organization to set the technical direction.
• Continuously deliver improved autonomy and safety features for Rivian's customers.
• Manage multiple sub-teams in Perception with a wide range of responsibilities.
• Define sensor requirements and make sensor tradeoff decisions in collaboration with HW/EE teams.
