Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an engineering role related to body structures manufacturing equipment and process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- CAD design experience for Structures commodities, with a preference for Catia V6 experience.
- Experience delivering multiple vehicle programs to production, specifically in Structures commodities.
- Desire to work in a cross-functional team to resolve complex production concerns.
- Strong understanding of first-principles physics related to system loads and functions.
- Proficient with MS Office products.
Responsibilities
- Support launch activities and production ramp across all Body Structures systems.
- Communicate effectively across various internal groups.
- Act as the first point of contact for all design issues found on the builds and resolve them.
- Deliver Body Structures engineering requirements from the prototype phase through to stable production.
- Represent Body Structures Engineering with the plant team during launch.
- Apply broad engineering knowledge to resolve problems during Prototype and Production builds.
- Ensure lessons from root cause actions are communicated back to core and advanced engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in engineering management with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery.
