Rivian is seeking a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer focused on Identity Platform Engineering to enhance identity governance and migration. This hands-on role requires collaboration with HR, IT, and security teams to deliver reliable identity services centered on Microsoft Entra ID. The engineer will build IAM automation in AWS and establish standard practices for identity lifecycle management. The position is based in Atlanta, GA, and reports to the Director of IAM.

• 8+ years of relevant experience in IAM, cybersecurity engineering, or identity platform engineering.
• Significant experience with identity lifecycle, governance concepts, and authentication/authorization patterns.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID or Okta.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or PowerShell and Git-based workflows.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deploying automation in cloud environments like AWS.

• Drive modernization and migration of IGA capabilities across the IGA environment.
• Build the infrastructure and engineering foundations for reliable IGA at scale.
• Design and build IAM automation and platform components in AWS.
• Establish standard authentication and authorization patterns with exception handling.
• Improve joiner/mover/leaver processes and strengthen lifecycle automation.
