  • Expert proficiency with Python and strong C++ skills for performance-critical production code.
  • Understanding of signal interfaces and protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, MIPI, and synchronization methods.
  • Familiarity with test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and vehicle data loggers.
  • Working knowledge of sensor modeling and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to hardware integration and validation of all ADAS sensors into vehicle platforms.
  • Own the sensor software interface definition and sensor firmware development.
  • Work closely with perception, controls, and embedded software teams to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and execute system-level test plans including lab validation and vehicle-level testing.
  • Implement and refine sensor calibration and alignment processes.
  • Drive issue triage and resolution across hardware, firmware, and mechanical domains.
  • Support sensor supplier selection and evaluation, including root cause analysis on failures.
  • Maintain ownership of integration documentation and test artifacts.

Benefits

  • Employees at Rivian are often offered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, ESPP and potential RSU grants, performance bonuses, and generous time off including paid parental and sick leave.
