• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of industry experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, specifically with components like battery enclosures or body structures
• Experience in developing solutions for complex cross-functional engineering problems
• Experience in component or subsystem testing
• Strong structural engineering foundation and design thinking mindset
• Good collaborative and teamwork skills

• Own the development of battery structure components.
• Manage BOM cost and mass for responsible parts.
• Coordinate DFM studies including tooling investment for responsible parts.
• Work closely with manufacturing to deliver a quality capable design.
• Create engineering release documents such as 2D drawings and Critical Function Documents.
• Contribute to risk management activities including DFMEA and design validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop engineering solutions for vehicle attributes.
• Work alongside Body Structures and Energy Storage teams for integrated solutions.
• Develop solutions supporting state of the art manufacturing processes.
