Job description

Requirements

  • B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in ADAS/Autonomy, specifically related to Active Safety feature development or validation.
  • Mastery of automotive network architectures and protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet) and associated debugging suites.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development models (CI/CD) and professional proficiency with Git and repository management.
  • Proven experience driving prototype vehicles on test tracks with a clean driving record and a high regard for safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other Autonomy teams to integrate and refine various Active Safety features.
  • Lead the integration, commissioning, and bring-up of sensor and actuator systems on prototype and production platforms.
  • Manage complex software development branches to ensure stable builds for integration and developmental testing purposes.
  • Partner with Systems, Controls, and Planning teams to bridge the gap between individual components and a cohesive Active Safety system.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis into vehicle log data and source code to resolve issues and facilitate rapid feature development.
  • Create documentation to track the status of integration activities and organize findings for review.
  • Proactively identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies and gaps, implementing creative engineering solutions.
  • Oversee preliminary verification of Active Safety features prior to formal hand-off to validation teams.
  • Review vehicle-level data to ensure strict alignment with system and component-level requirements.
  • Champion vehicle safety concepts and rigorous testing procedures during all development activities.
