Job description

Rivian is seeking a passionate and data-driven Staff Analytics Engineer to join the People Systems Team. This role focuses on delivering impactful insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will bridge complex business challenges with data-driven solutions, leveraging their expertise in data warehousing, SQL, and Python. A significant aspect of the position involves spearheading the migration towards a next-generation analytical toolset to enhance efficiency and analytical capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
  • Deep proficiency in writing complex and optimized SQL queries.
  • Strong ability to write clean and scalable Python code for data workflows.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and schema design.
  • Proficiency with collaborative software development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data models within the data warehouse.
  • Build, optimize, and manage complex ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Implement and enforce data quality standards and monitor data pipelines.
  • Identify and implement performance optimizations for data access.
  • Evaluate and recommend modern data tooling and infrastructure improvements.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for data models and processes.
