The Electrical Distribution System Integration Engineer at Rivian is responsible for the design and integration of the electrical wiring system for Electric Adventure Vehicles. This role involves ensuring that the designs meet production standards and support mass production. The engineer will act as a technical lead, collaborating with various teams to develop vehicle integration strategies and maintain design deliverables. The position requires a strong focus on quality standards and cross-functional collaboration.

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines
• Experience in Wire Harness Design Tool, Capital Harness Suite preferred
• Experience with Program Management tools such as Jira, Jama, Smartsheet, and Confluence
• Knowledge of DFMEA principles and execution preferred
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint or equivalent

• Define vehicle topologies for device connections and integrate with vehicle communication protocols
• Collaborate with hardware and software vehicle architects to develop vehicle integration strategies
• Derive and maintain information from device transmittals and vehicle requirements
• Develop complexity matrices for all harness families, defining all region and circuit level variants
• Define and review connector/terminal selection and cavity layout with Rivian DREs
• Support Vehicle and Tier I Assembly lines for design implementation and issue tracking
• Support TPMs in creating timing plans and coordinating changes for design alignment
