Job description
The Sr. FAME Technical Program Manager at Rivian plays a vital role in supporting Failure Analysis and Materials Engineering within the Engineering Quality department. This position involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, assembly quality, and the development of advanced components. The role is based at the Normal, IL production facility and requires effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will drive program integration, risk management, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product design, technical program management, PLM, engineering systems, or a related field, preferably within the automotive or high-tech industry.
- Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, and reliability processes in product development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and inspire others.
- An ability to challenge existing assumptions and develop new methods.
Responsibilities
- Ensure FAME team activities are aligned with rapidly changing program timelines and deliverables.
- Drive FAME deliverables and hold cross-functional partners accountable for support.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
- Identify risks to programs and production, and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure emergent issues are identified and resolved effectively throughout the program.
- Lead the coordination of burn-in schedules for Battery and Drive Units within the sustaining reliability team.
- Contribute to the integration of material and joint test data into a robust data warehouse.
