Job description
The PXT Central Science team is seeking a Data Engineer to enhance data architecture and accelerate analytics within the employee intelligence workstream. This role involves collaborating with economists and scientists to develop data engineering solutions that translate complex data into actionable insights. The team utilizes various technologies, including AWS services, to identify factors influencing employee sentiment and business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and a passion for working in interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using native AWS services
- Develop and maintain APIs and data serving layers for productionizing science models
- Build scalable feature extraction and processing frameworks for diverse data types
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate analytical requirements into production-ready solutions
- Maintain layered data systems and build automated reporting solutions
