Job description
AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes collaboration and innovation within a team dedicated to advancing next-generation computing experiences. Candidates will leverage their expertise in electronic theory and design techniques to oversee ASIC development and contribute to complex integrated circuit layouts. This position offers multiple openings and does not require travel.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- One year of experience in the job offered or a related engineering position
- Experience in performing hardware verification
- Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture
- Proficiency in logic and circuit design
- Experience with ASIC design and CMOS transistor design
- Familiarity with C, C++, or Python programming languages
- Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL
- Experience in physical design of deep submicron digital ASIC chips
- Familiarity with EDA or CAD tools
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics in the design and testing of AMD products
- Apply engineering principles, best practices, and technologies in various projects
