Job description

AMD is seeking an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes collaboration within cross-functional teams to tackle complex engineering challenges. Candidates will utilize their expertise in electronic theory and design methodologies to drive significant technical projects. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in scripting with Perl or Python for automation.
  • Experience in hardware verification and design flows for chip verification.
  • Proficiency in custom circuit design, ASIC design, and programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl, or Bash.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Oversee the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop ASIC/layout design and address complex issues.
  • Drive projects of significant technical importance and exercise independent judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria.
