Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to define architecture, logic design, and system simulation. The engineer will work on complex integrated circuits and evaluate the entire process flow from high-level designs to synthesis and power use. The position emphasizes collaboration and innovation within a diverse team environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in hardware verification, logic and circuit design, and ASIC design.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Perl, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience with submicron ASIC design flow and EDA or CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of Unix and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC/CMOS development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
