Job description
The Silicon Design Engineer role at Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, focuses on researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming with SystemVerilog and/or C++.
- Scripting experience with Perl or Python.
- Simulation and debug experience with a Verilog based functional simulator.
- Familiarity with unix/linux environments.
- Knowledge of logic and circuit design.
- Experience with CMOS transistor design and CAD tools.
- Understanding of SOC/system architecture and RTL Design/coding.
- Proficiency in ASIC design tools including synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.
- Experience with Front-End EDA tools.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
- Apply engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products.
