Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes innovation and collaboration, focusing on ASIC development and the evaluation of complex integrated circuits. The engineer will work under limited supervision, applying their knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles. This position offers multiple openings and does not require prior experience.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in logic and circuit design.
  • Experience in CMOS transistor design.
  • Experience in RTL design and coding.
  • Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
  • Familiarity with GPU, CPU, or SoC architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
