Job description

The Sr. Silicon Design Engineer at AMD's subsidiary Xilinx, Inc. will focus on researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in C, C++, or Python.
  • Knowledge of ASIC design and design flows for chip validation.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Experience in new silicon validation and debug.
  • Ability to write tests and perform simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards and processors.
  • Apply engineering principles and best practices to the design, development, and testing of company products.
