AMD is seeking an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Two years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the relevant fields and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
• Experience in hardware verification, Verilog or VHDL, SystemVerilog, and design flows for chip verification.
• Familiarity with ASIC design tools and CPU architecture.

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
• Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
• Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
• Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and address complex issues.
• Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
• Utilize knowledge of electronics and engineering principles to resolve complex issues.
