AMD is seeking an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes collaboration within cross-functional teams to address complex engineering challenges. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- Two years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the relevant fields and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Experience in hardware verification, Verilog or VHDL, SystemVerilog, and design flows for chip verification.
- Familiarity with ASIC design tools and CPU architecture.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and address complex issues.
- Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
- Utilize knowledge of electronics and engineering principles to resolve complex issues.
