Job description

AMD is seeking an MTS Analog Design Engineer to design, develop, modify, and test analog and mixed-signal components for existing and new products. The role emphasizes collaboration and innovation within a team focused on enhancing the performance of AMD processors. The engineer will work with cutting-edge FinFet technology and interface with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and reliability. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Experience with advanced design flows and verification methodologies for mixed-signal chips.
  • Experience overseeing the product development cycle for analog integrated circuits.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, and test analog and mixed-signal components and circuitry.
  • Simulate and test mixed-signal designs using required technologies and methodologies.
  • Track signal performance and evaluate technical data to provide recommendations and solutions.
  • Participate in collaborative projects to enhance the speed and efficiency of AMD processors.
  • Take ownership of analog mixed-signal circuit blocks in CPU/GPU designs.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams like RTL, Verification, and Physical Design.
  • Propose and document specifications and modifications to improve circuits.
  • Communicate project objectives and tasks to internal teams and provide updates to external teams.
  • Drive layout and design reviews to ensure quality and risk mitigation.
  • Train and mentor less experienced technical staff and junior engineers.
