Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The engineer will work on ASIC development, focusing on architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. This position offers the opportunity to engage in complex integrated circuit designs and evaluate the entire process flow from high-level designs to implementation.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in hardware verification and validation.
  • Proficiency in testing hardware designs using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Knowledge of CPU architecture, GPU architecture, or x86-64 architecture.
  • Familiarity with Unix or Linux environments.
  • Experience in programming with C, C++, or Python.
  • Understanding of GPU Programming/CUDA and AI/ML models and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
