Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Systems Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes innovation and collaboration, contributing to the architecture used across multiple products. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in performing hardware and software verification.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
  • Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with functional verification of microprocessors.
  • Experience in firmware development and emulation testing environments.
  • Understanding of SoC or CPU architecture.
  • Knowledge of data structures or multi-threading.
  • Experience in software debugging in macOS, Unix, or Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems.
  • Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and compatibility.
  • Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses.
  • Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
