Job description

AMD is seeking a Sr. Product Development Engineer to develop and test electrical and electronic components for semiconductor products. The role involves managing the product lifecycle from definition to production and distribution. The engineer will work closely with design, process, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure successful product implementation. This position emphasizes innovation and collaboration within a diverse team environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for SoC testing.
  • Knowledge of developing, designing, and conducting test methods for semiconductor products.
  • Familiarity with product development cycles within the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Skills in performing hardware verification, validation, and debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test electrical and electronic components and systems for semiconductor products.
  • Design, develop, and manage activities for specific semiconductor products from planning through production.
  • Implement test strategies for different modules according to required IP specifications.
  • Serve as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing teams.
  • Involve in all stages of a product's lifecycle, including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for product development.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards and processors.
