AMD is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Systems Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Four years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and six years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
• Four years of experience in logic and circuit design, RTL design/coding, product development cycles, Unix/Linux environments, and C/C++ and Python.
• One year of experience in Verilog/VHDL and ASIC design tools.

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Design complete and complex frameworks, systems, or products.
• Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and compatibility.
• Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses.
• Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next-generation initiatives.
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis and timing analysis.
• Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics in the design and testing of AMD products.
