Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role emphasizes innovation and collaboration within a diverse team, focusing on ASIC development and complex integrated circuit layouts. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with hardware verification and CAD tools such as Synopsys Verdi.
  • Proficiency in Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog, and UVM.
  • Experience in Unix/Linux environments and debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, and chips.
