Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Systems Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes innovation and collaboration within a culture that values diverse perspectives. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Two years of experience in C, C++, or Python.
  • Two years of experience in pre- and post-silicon validation.
  • Two years of experience with Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Two years of experience in DRAM architecture and design analysis.
  • Two years of experience in conducting data analysis and prediction, and automating data extraction.
  • Two years of experience in hardware debug.
  • Two years of experience in ATE level tests.
  • Two years of experience in creating tests and writing test code.
  • Two years of experience in electrical failure and physical failure analysis.
  • One year of experience in new product development, verification, and validation using simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Design complete and complex frameworks, systems, or products such as CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs.
  • Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and compatibility parameters.
  • Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses.
  • Influence future products by contributing to the architecture used across multiple systems.
  • Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next-generation initiatives.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards and processors, in design and testing.
