Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to join their team, focusing on the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in hardware verification and testing.
  • Familiarity with product development cycles for semiconductor products.
  • Proficiency in Unix and Linux environments.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, or Python.
  • Knowledge of server systems, system design and testing, and circuit board design.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, or test electronic components and systems.
  • Design electronic circuits and components.
  • Coordinate system bring up and reworks for functional teams on main projects.
  • Run hardware debug on faulty systems.
  • Perform electrical validation testing and system performance testing.
  • Engage in planning meetings for the system development cycle.
  • Participate in system and board design reviews.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to design, develop, and test proprietary products.
