Job description
AMD is seeking a Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes innovation and collaboration within a team focused on advancing next-generation computing experiences. Candidates will engage in ASIC development, including architecture design and system simulation. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field
- Experience in C, C++, or Python
- Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL
- Knowledge of RTL design and coding
- Understanding of logic and circuit design
- Experience with CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture
- Proficiency in ASIC design and ASIC design tools such as synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products
