Job description

The GPU Communications Libraries and Networking team at NVIDIA is seeking a technical leader to manage the NVSHMEM and UCX libraries. This role focuses on enhancing communication libraries for Deep Learning and HPC applications that require high performance across numerous GPUs. The successful candidate will lead a team, engage with partners, and drive the development of innovative technologies. This position offers an opportunity to significantly impact the performance of large-scale applications.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the software industry with specialization in HPC networking or system software.
  • 4+ years of management experience.
  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Prior experience in systems software or communication runtime development with a successful track record.
  • Strong understanding of computer system architecture and operating systems principles.
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills in Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the library engineering team.
  • Plan and execute projects while ensuring the quality and performance of the libraries.
  • Participate in feature design and implementation.
  • Interact with internal and external partners to understand their use cases and requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and management to define the product roadmap.
  • Continuously review and identify improvement opportunities in established processes.
