Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a skilled engineer to design and implement OpenBMC Firmware for GPU Server platforms, focusing primarily on Arm architecture. The role involves hands-on work with BMC firmware, performance analysis, and coding manageability features for NVIDIA's server platforms. The engineer will collaborate closely with team members to ensure design and testability align with product requirements. Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in BMC Firmware development on X86 or ARM Platforms.
  • Expertise in board bring-up and device drivers like I2C/I3C, SPI, PCIe, and SMBus.
  • Experience with OOB or In-band System Management and exposure to standards like IPMI and DMTF.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills using C/C++, Bash, Python, and Go.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement OpenBMC Firmware for GPU Server platforms.
  • Conduct performance analysis and develop manageability features for NVIDIA's server platforms.
  • Write and review design documents and QA test plans.
  • Design solutions for errors, stats, and configuration for various components.
  • Develop performance optimized active monitoring BMC solutions using DMTF Standards.
  • Instrument code for maximum coverage and automate unit tests for each module.
  • Provide software quality reports based on static analysis and code coverage.
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure code aligns with product security goals.
