Blackstone is seeking an experienced SVP of Data Compliance and Risk to lead compliance initiatives across Privacy, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Records. This management-level role involves overseeing a team of compliance professionals and analysts within the Legal & Compliance group. The focus is on developing and enhancing compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory obligations. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to embed compliance into business processes while strengthening governance standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or governance.
- Expertise in privacy, cybersecurity, records/information governance, or AI ethics/risk.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and SEC Cyber Rules.
- Proven track record of building and operationalizing compliance programs in complex environments.
- Excellent writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a globally distributed team of compliance professionals and analysts.
- Oversee the development and enhancement of compliance frameworks across Privacy, Cybersecurity, AI, and Records.
- Own and enhance information risk management programs, including data retention and e-discovery.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of central documentation and evidence repositories.
- Monitor the dynamic regulatory environment and communicate obligations with key stakeholders.
