The Associate Security Engineer role at Blackstone focuses on providing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), automation, and security platform engineering support. This position is part of the growing Blackstone Security Operations – Engineering team, which addresses cross-functional security needs. The engineer will engage in Tier 3 security investigations and ensure that security standards are met across all assets. The role emphasizes hands-on experience with SIEM technology and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.

• 3+ years in a hands-on technical role in information security or related field
• 3+ years of infrastructure/software engineering experience with a focus on Cloud technologies
• Experience with cloud native architectures such as AWS, Azure, Office 365
• Hands-on experience with SIEM technology, such as Splunk
• Development/scripting experience in Python and/or PowerShell
• Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform Cloud
• Proven experience working with git source control and CI/CD systems like Jenkins or Gitlab
• Experience with containers and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering or similar technical program

• Design and customize complex SIEM search queries and dashboards
• Develop SOAR automations to support response and investigation workflows
• Document configuration standards, policies, and procedures for operating security platforms
• Act as technical lead in the development and delivery of custom content and event reporting
• Leverage infrastructure-as-code frameworks to provision and maintain cloud resources
• Design, build, and maintain critical security-related systems for CI/CD and secrets management
