The Deep Learning Systems Engineer role at NVIDIA focuses on optimizing datacenter deployments for deep learning applications. The team is responsible for analyzing performance and power consumption while influencing hardware design and system software development. Candidates will work with cutting-edge technologies related to AI, including CPU, GPU, and networking. This position requires a strong understanding of system architecture and performance analysis to enhance the efficiency of datacenter systems.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a Masters or PhD preferred.
- 8 years or more of relevant experience.
- Experience in system software, including Operating Systems (Linux), Compilers, GPU kernels (CUDA), and DL Frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience programming in C/C++ and Python.
- A deep understanding of computer system architecture and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Help develop software infrastructure to characterize and analyze a broad range of Deep Learning applications.
- Evolve cost-efficient datacenter architectures tailored to meet the needs of Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Work with experts to develop analysis and profiling tools in Python, bash, and C++ to measure key performance metrics of DL workloads.
- Analyze system and software characteristics of DL applications.
- Develop analysis tools and methodologies to measure key performance metrics and estimate potential for efficiency improvement.
