Job description
NVIDIA is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead the development of an OpenBMC based manageability stack for Data Center Systems. The role involves managing a team of software engineers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality firmware for data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in server firmware development. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with data center architects and customers to drive efficiency and reliability in firmware architecture.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in EE/CS or related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience working on server firmware and platform software development.
- 5+ years of experience in managing a software/firmware engineering team.
- Hands-on experience with data center health management workflow.
- Strong knowledge of data center management, server architecture, and server manageability.
- Proficient in C/C++ and Python programming and debugging.
- Experience with SCM tools like Git or Perforce and project management tools like Jira.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the OpenBMC based manageability stack for next generation Data Center Compute Systems.
- Manage and lead a distributed team of software engineers to deliver a high-quality firmware stack.
- Work with data center architects and cloud customers to ensure correct requirements and scope implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable manageability architecture for all data center products.
- Drive efficiency, reliability, and optimization in firmware architecture from a data center viewpoint.
- Resolve issues at speed of light by working closely with customers and internal teams.
