Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Perception Engineer to join their perception team focused on developing autonomous driving solutions. The role involves building advanced 3D obstacle perception systems using multi-sensor fusion techniques, including deep learning approaches. The engineer will work on improving the robustness, accuracy, and efficiency of these solutions to enable safe autonomous driving. Collaboration with data teams and productization of developed models will be key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on work experience in developing deep learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Experience in multi-sensor fusion for perception tasks.
  • Proven experience in production deep learning model development.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-sensor fusion based deep learning models for obstacle perception.
  • Conduct applied research to improve the accuracy of 3D obstacle perception solutions.
  • Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of developed solutions using benchmark data.
  • Productize 3D obstacle perception solutions to meet safety and performance requirements.
  • Drive data-driven development by collaborating with data collection and labeling teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
