·FY 2025Job description
The Lead Performance Modeling Engineer will guide the performance architecture team at NVIDIA, focusing on developing performance models for next-generation cache hierarchies and I/O coherent interconnects. This role involves mentoring a team of engineers and converting high-level product requirements into actionable specifications. The engineer will also act as a liaison between various teams to resolve performance bottlenecks and drive the adoption of advanced modeling methodologies. The position requires a balance of technical leadership and strategic planning across automotive and data center platforms.
Requirements
- A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in high-performance silicon architecture.
- Extensive experience managing technical teams or complex projects in performance modeling or computer architecture.
- Proficiency in cache coherency protocols, memory sub-systems, and high-speed interconnect fabric build.
- Significant experience building and architecting large-scale simulators in C++ or SystemC.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term vision for modeling infrastructure using various modeling approaches.
- Lead a team of modeling engineers, providing technical mentorship and conducting code reviews.
- Act as the primary liaison between Architecture, RTL Build, and Software teams to resolve performance issues.
- Drive the adoption of advanced modeling methodologies to enhance the build cycle.
- Allocate simulation workloads and engineering efforts across multiple projects.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
