Job description

The Senior Software Engineer - Server Manageability role at NVIDIA focuses on designing and delivering innovations for managing GPU-based AI servers. The position involves leading BMC firmware design and collaborating with global teams to enhance server architecture. The engineer will work closely with hardware teams to influence design and ensure software quality. This role is pivotal in driving the end-to-end delivery of platforms for AI servers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with demonstrated strong ability as an individual contributor.
  • Domain expertise in BMC Firmware development on X86 or ARM Platforms.
  • Solid understanding of low-level interfaces between SBIOS, BMC, and OS.
  • Experience with C/C++ development and scripting in bash/python.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and deliver innovations for managing GPU-based AI servers.
  • Lead BMC firmware design with a global team of engineers.
  • Develop performance optimized active monitoring BMC solutions using DMTF Standards.
  • Instrument code to ensure maximum code coverage and automate unit tests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, ODMs/OEMs, and industry partners for AI server delivery.
