Job description

The role is for a strong engineer in the DRIVE Road structure / Online mapping / Context Fusion team, focusing on developing autonomous driving solutions. The engineer will work on creating a complete 3D world model by fusing map and perception signals. This position involves close collaboration with perception and planning teams to navigate challenging roads and intersections. The role is central to the company's vision for autonomous vehicles and requires a passion for robotics and AI.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience, with at least 2+ years in the AV or robotics industry
  • 2+ years of experience technically leading areas
  • Passion for robotics and autonomous vehicles
  • Outstanding communication and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Independent and analytical software engineering skills
  • Software development experience on embedded or automotive platforms

Responsibilities

  • Develop core functionality for autonomous driving based on the fusion of perception DNN and map signals
  • Generate real-time 3D world models utilized by planning, incorporating various sensor inputs
  • Enable HD mapless driving in complex urban scenarios by creating enriched BEV models
  • Create accurate and reliable models for L3 level autonomy in highway scenarios
  • Build fused static obstacles and occupancy grids to enrich AV scenarios
  • Provide technology leadership and guidance to the team on solving AV problems
  • Mentor strong engineers within the team
  • Ensure algorithms perform well on large datasets in diverse environments
  • Produce code and designs following automotive quality and safety standards
