Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Director of Systems Engineering to lead the execution of its Vision AI strategy within the Edge AI, Metropolis, and Blueprints team. This role involves transforming foundation models into real-time video intelligence systems and requires a hands-on approach with deep learning and coding. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GPU tuning and a proven track record of delivering low-latency inference at scale. The position offers the opportunity to work with a high-performing team and collaborate with major OEMs and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of overall experience, with a minimum of 10+ years in machine learning or deep learning research.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in technical roles.
  • Over 10 years of industry expertise in the embedded software sector.
  • Deep knowledge of GPU, CPU, and deep learning architecture fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop engineering and data teams across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
  • Architect and operationalize NVIDIA’s end-to-end data Inference Acceleration strategy.
  • Drive strategic implementations of TensorRT and other accelerated frameworks for inference solutions.
  • Collaborate with major Metropolis OEMs to architect optimized deep learning models.
  • Offer direct customer support, including debugging and technical education.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
