Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated senior software engineer to join their communication libraries and network software team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining software for complex heterogeneous computing systems that drive innovations in High Performance Computing and Deep Learning. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, working on highly-optimized communication runtimes and system software for GPU clusters. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to parallel programming interface specifications and create proof-of-concepts for new designs and features.
Requirements
- M.S./Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
- Excellent C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
- Expert understanding of computer system architecture and operating systems.
- Experience with parallel programming interfaces and communication runtimes.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multi-national, multi-time-zone corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain highly-optimized communication runtimes for Deep Learning frameworks and HPC programming interfaces on GPU clusters.
- Participate in and contribute to parallel programming interface specifications like MPI/OpenSHMEM.
- Design, implement and maintain system software that enables interactions among GPUs and between GPUs and other system components.
- Create proof-of-concepts to evaluate and motivate extensions in programming models, new designs in runtimes and new features in hardware.
