Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Distinguished Software Architect for its GPU Communications Libraries and Networking team. This role focuses on co-designing next-generation data center platforms to enhance communication performance for deep learning and high-performance computing applications. The architect will work on innovative solutions in hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration with existing software stacks. This position offers an opportunity to push the boundaries of technology and contribute to NVIDIA's vision of advanced computing.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or strong equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in academia or industry.
  • Expertise in HPC, parallel programming models, and at least one communication runtime.
  • Deep understanding of high-performance networking technologies and design.
  • Strong knowledge in ML/DL fundamentals, parallel algorithms, and performance analysis.
  • Programming fluency in C or C++ for systems software development.
  • Flexibility to work effectively across different hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities

  • Research new communication technologies and design new features for communication libraries.
  • Propose innovative hardware and software solutions for next-generation platforms.
  • Inspire changes based on quantitative data from proof-of-concepts or technical analysis.
  • Drive the adoption of new communication technologies across various application verticals.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams, including deep learning researchers and customers.
