NVIDIA is seeking a strong technical Firmware engineer to lead the development of firmware for embedded controllers. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to understand requirements, implement features, and provide technical support. The engineer will work closely with hardware teams and EC chip vendors to ensure optimal product performance. This position is pivotal in advancing NVIDIA's commitment to innovation in AI computing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience as an individual contributor in firmware development.
- Experience implementing firmware in ARM Architecture.
- Experience in a Linux OS environment.
- Solid experience in C/C++ development.
- Solid understanding of low-level interfaces like GPIO/I2C/SPI/eSPI/PCIe/JTAG.
- Background in Python for scripting and debugging skills in embedded Linux.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver Embedded Controller firmware for notebooks.
- Integrate EC firmware with other platform firmware.
- Provide technical support to EC chip vendors and OEMs/ODMs.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to review hardware architecture and schematics.
- Work with QA/Test architects to produce test tools and automation for qualifying firmware.
- Develop collaterals for EC chip vendors and OEMs/ODMs.
