Job description

The senior data analyst role at Blackstone focuses on driving the adoption of data visualization technology within the firm. As part of the Blackstone Technology & Innovations team, you will work with data engineers, data scientists, and investment professionals to enhance data-driven decision-making. This position emphasizes collaboration and mentorship, allowing you to make a significant impact from day one. You will be responsible for building scalable data solutions and refining data visualization best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of data visualization or analytics experience on platforms such as Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Experience working with complex systems and large data sets using SQL or Python.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM or quantitative discipline is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with technical staff and business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Assess high-level analytics goals, refine requirements, and build scalable data solutions.
  • Refine and drive the adoption of data visualization best practices throughout the firm.
  • Develop and enrich relationships with data leads across Blackstone.
  • Facilitate Proof-of-concept engagements and draft business designs.
  • Draft, manage, and improve all Standard Operating Procedures related to data visualization.
  • Participate in bi-weekly sprint planning meetings and daily standups.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data products for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Conduct project reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development practices.
