In this role at NVIDIA, you will lead the development and refinement of core features for the Robotics Platform, which integrates software and hardware solutions for Physical AI. You will influence developer engagement and create tools that help bring physical AI to life. The position requires collaboration with various partner teams to ensure cohesive platform experiences. Your focus will be on performance, reliability, and optimizing the platform for NVIDIA's hardware.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on systems software, robotics, or developer tooling.
  • Proven experience in developing and shipping robotic products.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers, setting technical direction, and conducting build reviews.
  • Strong C++ and Python skills, with the ability to work across both application and platform layers.
  • Familiarity with robotics concepts including sensor pipelines and real-time execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of new Robotics Platform runtime features, optimizations, tooling, and developer-facing APIs.
  • Build clear and comprehensive reference applications, benchmarks, skills, and tutorials showcasing platform capabilities.
  • Optimize the platform to leverage NVIDIA's hardware for sensor I/O processing and physical AI.
  • Coordinate with partner teams to align priorities and resolve dependencies.
  • Establish and champion engineering guidelines across the team, including code quality and testing protocols.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
