Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Mask Layout Design Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on chiplet interface projects. The role involves working closely with mixed-signal design engineers to create high-quality layouts for mixed-signal functions in advanced CMOS technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mask and layout design, particularly with FinFET technology. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • A BSEE or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of industry experience in Mask and Layout Design is necessary.
  • A deep understanding and previous experience with FinFET technology is a must.
  • Proficiency with Cadence custom circuit design tools, particularly Virtuoso, is essential.
  • Knowledge of DRC and LVS checking flows and the ability to customize decks is required.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Skill is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical layout for mixed-signal functions including top level, high speed datapaths, and high-speed clocking designs.
  • Collaborate closely with mixed-signal design engineers to customize designs for integration in VLSI products.
  • Participate in floor planning, custom layout, and verification against design rules and schematics.
  • Work independently to create layouts with excellent quality.
  • Handle fast-paced projects and iterate quickly based on designer feedback.
  • Contribute positively to a team environment with good interpersonal skills and enthusiasm.
