Job description
NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and implement supplier quality programs for AI-centric datacenter, automotive, and consumer products. This role involves close collaboration with Hardware Engineering, Product Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams, as well as vendors and contract manufacturers. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a structured problem-solving background, focusing on failure analysis and NPI quality methodologies. The position requires managing component quality and ensuring alignment with quality metrics and new product introduction schedules.
Requirements
- Hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment with audit experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques and process/quality controls for mechanical components.
- Proven understanding of data driven, statistical QC and QA problem solving methodology.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end component quality, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to assure new product readiness.
- Qualify component vendors supplying tester components and bring up inspection and tester vendors to meet testing demand.
- Establish and lead activities to ensure proper definition of quality expectations for each mechanical component.
- Drive component Failure Analysis activities, including understanding failures and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop continuous improvement plans with suppliers and track/report progress.
- Track supplier’s quality Key Performance Indicators closely.
- Prepare and present business review quality sections and lead quality audits at supplier sites.
- Monitor supplier’s alignment to new product introduction schedules to ensure stable mass production volume ramp.
- Act as a quality representative to internal teams, supporting customer quality and internal quality requirements.
- Travel domestically/internationally to supplier sites as needed, approximately 10-20%.
