Job description
The Senior Hardware Product Quality Manager (PQM) role at NVIDIA focuses on enhancing datacenter hardware quality initiatives. Requirements
- BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, quality, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in an electronics customer quality role.
- Customer interface experience is critical.
- Ability to quickly comprehend technical details relevant to understanding customer complaints.
- Excellent proficiency with 8D problem solving tools and methods.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong social skills with a logical approach to problem solving and good time management.
- Strong organizational and program management skills with experience coordinating across multiple engineering and business teams.
- Proficient in using MS Office software tools, data analytical tools, and email communications.
Responsibilities
- Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings related to quality on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Track key quality metrics and report regularly to the quality engineering team and internal management.
- Coordinate and participate in customer audits for NVIDIA HQ and contract manufacturers.
- Quickly assimilate technical details in crisis situations to understand critical elements of issues and provide direction.
- Craft customer presentations covering statuses of root cause, risk assessments, corrective actions, preventative actions, and recovery plans for complaints.
- Write and review 8D reports for customer consumption.
- Serve as an issue manager for critical incidents, coordinating across multiple engineering teams to drive timely resolution.
- Constantly drive problem resolution internally by providing leadership and direction.
- Coordinate with internal and external engineering teams to root cause customer quality issues.
