Job description
The role is for experienced Systems SW Compiler Engineers in the PTX Compiler Development team at NVIDIA. This team focuses on the evolution of the PTX language and compiler, which supports GPU computing applications such as deep learning and autonomous driving. The position involves enhancing the PTX Compiler infrastructure to support new compilation models for generative AI and deep learning codes. The engineer will collaborate with architecture and programming model teams to design and implement next-generation GPU programming models.
Requirements
- BS (or equivalent experience), MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- 6+ years of experience in compiler front end, programming language designs, compilers, or linkers.
- Superb analytical and C/C++ programming skills.
- Experience in any area of compiler development including feature support, code generation, and compiler infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of any Processor ISA, with GPU ISA being a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide stewardship for PTX ISA and PTX Compiler infrastructure for generative AI and deep learning.
- Collaborate with architecture and programming model teams to design and implement programming models for next-generation GPUs.
- Work closely with others to design compilation stacks and strategies for AI and deep learning workloads.
- Ensure compatibility, robustness, and high-quality code generation by collaborating with teams developing related components.
